My Top {proven} Tips on How to Prep Your Home for Sale {De-Clutter}

This post was made possible through the support of Goodwill. All opinions are my own.

Whether you are actually getting ready to list your home for sale or just ready to tackle Spring Cleaning, the best place to start is to de-clutter all of your rooms and storage spaces.
Not only will your rooms and closets seem larger when there is less in them, you'll also be getting rid of things you may no longer use or need {and therefore, if you're moving, you won't have to move all of that stuff with you}!

And, for even more motivation, your donation of used clothing or household goods to Goodwill helps create jobs directly in your community.

That’s right: Donate Stuff. Create Jobs.
To see how the process works, just watch this “How We Do It” PSA.

I think it can be overwhelming when you set out to tackle several areas of your home.
But I have an easy week long Purge Schedule to keep you on track:

7 Days of Spring Cleaning:

Day 1) Clear your closet clutter. Anything that you aren't emotionally attached to that you haven't worn in over a year needs to go!
Day 2) Time to tackle the kitchen. Clear out cupboards and kitchen cabinets.
Day 3) Re-visit your Holiday Decorations and clear out what you no longer like or use.
Day 4) Downsize your tech toys, unused chargers, etc.
Day 5) Clean out your office supplies.
Day 6) Organize and purge your movies,
Day 7) Downsize your bookshelf (books and STUFF)

Then, calculate your donation impact. (http://www.goodwill.org/locator/)
