Freebie Friday: "Green" Cleaning Tips, DIY Cleaning Recipes + free Printable Labels!

I've been making some of my own, natural cleaning sprays lately....testing recipes out to see which ones I like and which ones I don't.  I'm picky. I'm also very protective of my wood floors. {for more on that check out this post}.
I Dream of Clean has a 5 Simple Steps to start you down your Green Cleaning Path...
1. Less Stuff equals less stuff to clean.
2. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
3. Ditch the Paper Towel.
4.  Try Home Made Cleaners.
5. Small Steps at a Time equal Big Change.
To read in detail how each one of these steps can be easy to tackle, check out the full post at I Dream of Clean.

OR to just leap right into it, here are free labels to print and use for your Home Made Cleaners...RECIPES are right on the labels!!!{FYI: whenever a 'home made' cleaner recipe calls for dish soap, my favorite option is Mrs. Meyers...I know that it is free and clear of anything harmful}.

I do not enjoy cleaning. But I'll enjoy cleaning so much more knowing that I am actually leaving surfaces naturally clean instead of  using toxic chemicals with their residue and off-gassing around my home.
XXXOOO.

  1. Definitely going to be trying out the window cleaner. I wonder if you could replace the corn starch with something, my daughter is allergic. Any ideas? There are a couple of recipes on cleenco.co.uk of a similar chemistry but they still use the corn starch too!

    1. Hi, Thomas. Thank you for coming over and for leaving a comment! To my knowledge, the cornstarch gives the solution a bit more grit/tooth so that it is more like a paste. There are several recipes that just skip the cornstarch step all together, only using liquids and they seem to work well, just not as highly effective as the cornstarch blend. I'm sure that doesn't help- but I'm sorry I don't have a cornstarch substitute for you. Sorry to hear about your daughter's cornstarch allergy. I, too, have a child with allergies and we're always working around ingredients. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. This post is truly helpful for home owners or renters out there who need help on how to clean green like me at my apartments near Duke University. Also, I strongly agree with ditching paper towels. Renters should use cloth rags instead which they can reuse as much as they can.

    1. Hello Kris, thank you for commenting, I'm glad that this was a helpful read for you. Cloth rags instead of paper towels is the way to go when cleaning. I'm experimenting with a few tutorials I've found about making your own roll of reusable cloth towels...I'll be sharing soon, so keep stopping back in! Thanks for reading!

    1. so glad you think so! I never used to clean with natural ingredients until I had a headache one day after using some horrid spray with what I thought was just bleach in it. I read the ingredients and thought, "I am never using this in my home again"...it is literally toxic to me and to my family and reviewing my receipts I can't believe how much I paid for cleaning products. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on this post!

  7. Thanks for this tips because they are really helpful. I can apply them on my office in my house. But in our company, our office was maintained by office cleaning services Melbourne that I found in cleaning edge website. They are really great on their service, I hope that you can also choose them as your cleaning service.
