12 Days of Christmas Give Away Day #9: Vermont Country Store $25 Gift Card

UPDATE: Day #9 Give Away Random Drawing Winner is Macay A. from Tulsa!!!  Thank you all for entering and for checking out the Vermont Country Store. Only a few days of give aways left!

Weston Events
Have you ever been to Vermont in December?  It is breathtaking.  When I was a kid, my friend's family would take me with them for weekends at their Vermont log cabin.  It was a winter wonderland.  One of the highlights of each trip was visiting The Vermont Country Store...I literally thought I was at Santa's Workshop.  They have toys, and dolls, and candy, and flannel everything.  It reminds me of a special friend and a special time.  Nothing is fancy, and that is what is so great about it.  It started as a catalog business in 1945,  they opened their doors in 1946 and it's been going strong ever since. They carry most of the same things that I remember from way back when I was a child.
Weston Store
They pride themselves on having items that are either practical, nostalgic or fun...

    1. I just like so much of Christmas is about stuff made in China...stuff bought just at mega stores... I like stores that make a difference in their communities and employ hard working peeps while selling a decent product. But man, do they have a lot of flannel...says something about Winter in Vermont!

  3. Drat! I was away from the computer all day yesterday. I will not make the same mistake again, well, until all twelve days are completed. :)I just spent an unhealthy amount of time on the store website. Now I'm homesick for all things nostalgia.

    1. You are so funny. They have some fun stuff...and some crazy stuff, too. The flannel nighties are a riot. I remember having one in the '70s. I should get one now as a Christmas present and see what Ryan has to say! HA!

    1. Thanks! i always make sure that my link goes back to the original source and that people can't download someone else's art from my site...that way the original creator gets due credit...but I LOVE when people are directed here first to stop in and see what my review or suggestions are first! Appreciate it! THX!
